Ephemeral Dinner (2010, Helsinki, Finland)

The act of eating goes beyond mere consumption – it is an act of providing nutrients for our body, a moment of conviviality if shared with others around the dinner table, becoming a potentially memorable experience. This dinner was entirely ephemeral, with three courses consisting of edible cutlery and plates. It started with a co-creative workshop: participants making their first course out of vegetables, a lecture by a cook on how to make crispbread plates, and a dinner around a table set with temporal objects . All that was left after eating was the memories…
