Through a Marxist-feminist lens of care, the approach\u00a0of the commons is\u00a0explored as the leading\u00a0narrative of this research: as a practical and philosophical framework of an emergent culture of\u00a0mutual respect and interdependence\u00a0amongst and between human and more-than-human agents, of networked\u00a0self-organisation and cooperation, and of a new understanding of \u2018the economy\u2019 towards new\u00a0forms of social relations and ways of being in and with the world.<br><br>This research was conducted\u00a0by myself\u00a0as part of my PhD-studies,\u00a0based remotely at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheffield.ac.uk\/architecture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sheffield University School of Architecture<\/a>\u00a0in the UK, supervised by architect\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbantactics.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Doina Petrescu<\/a>\u00a0and environmental geographer\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jennypickerill.info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jenny Pickerill<\/a>, and completed in 2025 under the title &#8216;(Un)common spaces of becoming in common.
